Kathleen Benyak

Kathleen's 25 year career in Architecture & Commercial Interior Design laid the foundation for her artwork.  Her love of early 20th century modernist painting and later abstract expressionism influences her work and bold use of color.  She has worked in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, collage and other mixed media.  Her artisan jewelry has sold in galleries in Santa Fe, her paintings exhibited in Santa Fe, Bisbee and Tubac AZ as well as several businesses in Arizona.  She is a member of the Tubac Center of the Arts and currently owns Heartworks Gallery located in SE AZ.  Her future plans include moving her venture to Tucson, creating a new fine arts gallery that will also include a vintage/resale furniture and art objects boutique.

Since retiring from her professional career in 2006 and relocating from New Jersey,  Kathleen has been focused on philanthropic work and volunteering for organizations that include the Tucson VA Hospital, Friends of the Bisbee Animal Shelter Thrift Shop, Tucson Wildlife Rescue, The Forgotten Children, Tucson Audubon Society and the Chiricahua Apache Nation.

Kathleen is an avid nature lover, birder and advocate for wildlife and wilderness preservation.  She enjoys hiking the mountain ranges of SE Arizona.
